Dan Martin
Dan Martin has worked in many facets of television for the past 15 years. With a news production background, he worked for KOLO-TV in Reno for 9 years as a Director, Studio Camera Operator, Field Photographer and Promotions Manager. After moving to a job in sales at Reno’s KTVN-TV, he returned to television production as a Director at GEMS-TV, a home shopping network. He also worked as a Director and replay playback operator for the Reno Aces for four years. Dan says, “This station can be as strong as the community it serves. I’m proud to be living in Truckee and working with its people. Television has the power to inspire, so if you have a passion that can benefit our great community come down to Channel 6 and share it on our local community station.”
Rory O’Farrell
Rory O’Farrell’s first radio program was on KUOP-FM in Stockton, when he was a freshman at University of the Pacific in 1973.
After graduating from San Diego State in TV-Film he worked for KSTN radio in Stockton, and then went to work for KXTV-Sacramento in Master Control. A ten-year stint at Channel 31 followed, then a decade which included Sutter Health, and the Media office of the California Department of Corrections, and another 4-year stint at Channel 31.
After ten seasons working with the A/V crew for the Sacramento Kings at Arco Arena, O’Farrell began teaching Video Production at Truckee High School.
More recently he served as the afternoon radio host at 101.5 Truckee Tahoe Radio.
Rory is also serving on the National Board of the Alliance for Community Media, and Western Regional Board of Directors of the Alliance for Community Media
